Welcome to PetMAC Marketplace and Adoption Center! PetMAC is a one-stop shop for all your dog or cat needs to be healthy and happy. We specialize in offering all-natural foods with no chemical preservatives and no animal by-products. We look specifically for foods and treats that do not contain corn, wheat, soy or other questionable ingredients. We stock not only the traditional kibble and canned diets for your pet, but we also have freeze-dried, dehydrated and frozen raw diets. We only feed the best to our pets, and we want to offer our customers the same!
About Us
PetMAC has been serving the local Tenleytown community and greater Washington DC since 2007! We’re an independent, woman-owned, small, local business. We believe in supporting other American and local businesses by offering a large variety of USA and locally-made foods and supplies.
We believe given the number of homeless dogs and cats languishing in shelters, that animals should not “be bought and sold. We work closely with local rescue groups who offer cats and dogs for adoption, and have recently resumed having a limited number of cats in our shop available for adoption or fostering. We donate to rescue fundraisers and offer discounted supplies to our partner rescue groups and their fosters as our way of saying “thank you” for helping rescue shelter animals.
Our Mission
At PetMAC, we strive to enhance the pet ownership experience through education and engagement. Regular seminars by veterinarians and pet professionals help pet owners gain valuable insights into the best practices for pet care. Topics range from alternative medicines and raw diets to preventative health measures for pet dental hygiene, all offered to empower and educate our community.
Our commitment extends beyond just sales; we aim to foster a community of informed pet parents who understand the nuances of pet nutrition and care and see the benefits of ethical sourcing and pet wellbeing.
